I have one and just noticed that a previous owner has lengthened the port just a bit. I have never fired it and I'm wondering how much metal was removed.
Thanks. Lee

Well know I wonder why on earth someone would remove .014" of metal from the loading/ejection port.
Is it a 338 lapua or ultramag gun?
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
It's a 7mm Remington Magnum...so...???
There would be no need that I am aware of unless the action had been used for a larger/longer cartridge and had to be modified. Maybe Jim, Fred or another member have something. The guys in the northwest like those reach out and touch someone cartridges.

There is .015" tolerance on the length of the port. I just measured a new 110 LWH, and it measured 3.816".
