Savage Axis trigger gone bad (Most embarrasing post of the year)

Hey folks I'm sure someone here can help me.

I have an older Savage Edge rifle that I tried doing a trigger job in over the weekend. The old trigger did not have a threaded slot for the overtravel screw. The hole was just blank....so I measured the size that I needed, drilled it out and tried tapping with....which at that point I broke the back of the trigger.

I know many of you might have upgraded your triggers by now.....does anyone have a spare trigger for sale so I can get the rifle back together?

    Regards HK

Just an update to this thread...the part number for the trigger is 108002. I called every parts dealer on the Savage website and they are unable to supply. Does anybody know who might have this whopping $8 part?

    Up and coming Savagesmith. .
Someone has one. Then there is Rifle Basics or Timney.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

Just contact Sharpshooter (Fred) at Sharp Shooter Supply. That will be the fastest way to get ahold of him.

Its hunting season. People are bound to disappear from time to time around here. I've you're going to end up spending some money on a new trigger, why not go ahead an snag a timney or rifle basix? If no one has one, I'll sell you my stock one and I'll snag a timney or rifle basix :D

I have a couple from Axis receivers. Would give you one for Christmas if you think it will work in the Edge.
