99 owner

Hey everyone, I am a newbie on this site. I have two 99's, both in 300 Savage, and a "couple" other guns of various brands. I shot my first whitetail deer 41 years ago with my first 99. Using the wrong type bullets that came with the gun(pointed Remingtons) , I heart shot the deer. No blood trail... Right after I shot and the deer ran off, I heard two shots from that direction. My heart sank. I just knew I had missed another one. Luckily I went and talked to the other shooter and the one he shot at was from a different direction. Backtracking I found my deer. The four pointer had gone 100 yards. HA not wanting to be so long winded but luckily I have written down all my stories from my successful hunts over the years. But the 300 Savage will remain with me forever... Thanks for letting me share.
