260 Rem Brake In. Vendors Made Me Look Capable

Second time out in 30 degree temp to brake in 260 Rem barrel and get out to 200 yards. Using a barrel maker’s minimalist approach. I’m done at 15 rounds.

Set up is 24” Brux SS 1:8 medium spoterish .70” at muzzle crowned and chambered and T&T’d by Sharp Shooter. Still on Accustock and Accutrigger. Scope is Swaro 3x18. Ammo is from Copper Creek 140 grain Accubond and 140 grain Berger Hybrid and 143 grain ELD X.

At 200 yards I put 2 rounds each of Accubond and Hybrid into 1/2” groups. Considering I didn’t shoot a single time in 2017 I acknowledge the suppliers’ quality work.

Nice setup on a terrific cartridge.

I've been sitting out a few days so fat this week hoping to introduce a whitetail deer to a 143 gr ELD-X with mine. No takers so far.

    Good luck on the introduction.

Testing the 143 grain will have to wait until spring. I’ve grown to appreciate the 260 and optics beyond

I had it right the first time but it took so long to finger punch the iPad the site dropped me. I relogged in and typed faster. Forum typing is best learned young. For me it’s like all systems to life support, captain, so he doesn’t mess up.

Ditto on the 6.5. Lately I've been hitting a 7 inch steel swinging plate out to 1100 yards. 3rd round hits with my x-caliber. I honestly wish I'd of gone 6.5 a long time ago.
Your going to see the same results out of yours without a doubt

PS - found a gullible buck. The 143 gr ELD-X did just fine!

    Nice group. Nice deer.

I'll put the 260 to work in West TN after Xmas. 3 does a day, although the freezer fits 1.
