I've heard of guys putting a notch in their rifle stock when they kill a deer.
I have an Uncle that's getting a little older and he's so in love with his braked .300 Win Mag with an old Baucsh and Lomb scope that he puts a notch over his eye every time he shoots one.
Now that's hard core.

I let a few of his lifelong buddies know from all over the country.
Now when he talks to them over the holidays, they tell him about "The legend of the hardcore deer hunter" LOL
