Something in the 50 to 55 grain should work well.
Mine loves 52 grain, but I am reloading.
I have shot many factory rounds out of mine with great success.
Looking at some Black Friday ads for the axis hb 22-250. Has anybody have experience with this rifle and what factory loads it prefers ? No I do not reload

I have the .223 and love it. The only downside is it prefers high quality bullets. Federal Gold Medal Match uses Sierra Matchking bullets and they shoot into .5" at 100yds. It is expensive so you might try some other stuff. Black Hills ammo is supposed to be good too. The local SWAT teams use Hornady ammo but I don't know which one (I pick up their brass :) ).
I have been using federal bulk in my 223 and have been getting a inch at 100. I am not the best shot either . Sounds like I can tighten that up a bit though with better ammo . As far as Hornady goes I never saw a savage that didn’t like it no matter what caliber
