Difference between models 16326 and 18928

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Model 111 (Savage #16326) FCXP3 and the Edge XP (Savage #18928)?

Neither have Accustock or Accutrigger. Both have DBMs and generic 3X9 scopes. The Edge is $140 cheaper.

What am I missing?

The model 111 FCXP is a long action package gun that comes with a scope and rings.

The Savage Edge is a complete different animal. The action, stock, trigger, and everything else is completely different. The guns have almost nothing in-common.

If you plan on doing any modification to the gun DO NOT buy the Edge. There are very few if at all to no aftermarket parts available, and I doubt you will see much for it. As far as quality goes the Savage 111 is leaps and bounds a better made gun. The Edge is made cheaper to keep the price down.
