It's worth tring it yourself. I am currently in the process. What type of stock are you using?

I agree with desert. It really isn't difficult. And if you like tinkering it's a lot of fun.

I have my pillars in my Boyd's Pierre Hunter right now. I have never done it before. There is lots of info out there. I get you I have the fear as well but right now I am obsessed with the processes.

I've done a prairie hunter for my Axis and a Pro Varmint for my 111... If you have a drill press, few c clamps, a good drill bit, and a steady hand you can totally do it yourself. I watched the below video before I did my Axis and the process is almost the same for the 111. I used a 25/64 bit using the same steel spacer that this guy did.I didn't know a single thing about pillar bedding before I watched this video.

I just bedded a 111 Long Range Hunter, 300 WinMag, in a Boyd's Pro Varmint stock last week.
I got my pillars from Stocky's Stocks
    https://www.stockysstocks.com/access...llar-sets.html
I used Devcon 10110 for bedding compound.

The week before I bedded a Model 12 FCV .223 Rem in a Boyd's Pro Varmint stock as well.
I made the pillars for this rifle out of threaded lamp tubing with a Dremel

Both are shooting sub 1/2" groups at 100yds

If I can do it anyone can.

Coach which pillars did you like best? The premade or lamp rods.
