    Reloder17 and 130 AR Hybrid

Never really messed with reloader 17 much just threw a load together yesterday 28in shilen select match bull barrel 8 twist lrp build. 44 grains of reloader 17 muzzle velocity 3030 inch and a half group at 400 yards. 44.5 grains 3070 muzzle velocity same group at 400 I love the powder now. But heard it's hard on throats? Thanks for listening just thought I'd throw that out there. Oh edit 6.5 Creedmoor. 130 grain AR hybrid

I've also heard its hard on threats. I have no evidence to confirm nor deny personally, however.

I could never get RE17 to shoot. I'm glad others aren't having the same luck.

I have two 6.5mm Creedmoor rifles and have concluded that powder preference may be peculiar to individual rifles.
I have tried a variety of powders and bullet combinations including Sierra 130 grain TMK bullets #7430 in both rifles. One likes the 130 TMK bullets with RL-17 and the other likes heavier bullets and IMR4451 powder.

One shoots RL-17 best overall in 130 gr TMKs about 9.5% better than IMR4350 powder. The RL-17 powder with 130 TMKs has the best performing load for that rifle on average out of 22 powder-bullet combinations. Second best is RL-17 with Berger 140 gr Match #26401 bullets. This rifle likes RL-17 powder.
The other rifle shoots RL-17 with 130 grain TMKs about 15.6% worse than with IMER4451 powder and 7.6% worse than IMR4350 powder.
The other rifle shoots RL-17 loads of 142 SMKs 11.6% worse than IMR4451 powder. IMR4451 powder holds the top two slots. Best loads out of 26 powder bullet combinations are with 142 SMKs with IMR4451 powder on average with that rifle. A close second is 147 grain Hornady ELD-Ms with IMR4451. This rifle really likes IMR4451 Enduron powder. which holds the top 4 places out of 26.
