Pacific tool bottom metal

Hey all. I just got a PTG bottom metal for a M11 lower bolt release. First off it fits good and looks good. But is there a way to fix the spring on the mag release. It just seems to lay there not doing anything. Hell I fell out once on me and I was only putting the action in the stock.

Anyone one find a fix for this?? Have not tried calling them, their customer service seems to be lacking.

Is the spring too short or too thin? I would recommend a bigger spring.

There's a cup pocket drilled in to the receiver but it just rides on the lever. It looks like a larger OD spring my fit better. Thought about drilling a matching pocket on the lever for the other end of the spring would not "walk".

Figured I would see if anyone had the problem.

Just about every DBM system I've seen has a pocket drilled in the release lever for the spring... Would not be shocked if PT&G forgot to do that.

Yeah that what I thought as soon as I opened it up.
