I have a savage .22 rifle that I think is a model 19 though it has no model marking I can see. It is a bolt action repeater, magazine fed and general military appearance. The last patent date is NOV 20 1917 and the receiver is integral with the barrel, one piece. there are no sights. It is marked as .22 long rifle and the serial number on the rear of the receiver ring is 10548
An area of concern for me it the bolt hole for the stock bolt that retains it in the stock is just ahead of the end of the chambered cartridge would be and is very deep, .220 by my caliper. I calculated with the barrel diameter of .868 that leaves only about .100 thickness of barrel steel right at the barrel throat.
The full length stock is a beautiful and nearly pristine walnut and it appears to have the original blue and is at least 95 percent.
