Welcome aboard , install a accu-trigger target spring from gunshack

Hi,
I'm new to this site and am looking for help in taking my Savage Mdl 16 accu-trigger down past the 2.5 lbs where it bottoms out now.

You can try a spring for the Varmint models. They can sometimes go down to 1.5 pounds, but not always. Most often, if set too light, the firing pin will fall against the safety blade and "lock up" when closing the bolt. GUn SHack might have them. or Sharp Shooter Supply. or Northland Shooters
How hard is it to change the spring to a varmint model? By the way, the rifle is a Model 11 Savage not a Model 16 like I posted originally. My Model 16 is a .250 Savage and it has a trigger that breaks cleanly at 18 ounces.
I know this does not answer your question but unless you are shooting long range you may not need to get it that low. Is it affecting your accuracy?
