    Ahhh, the journey begins ....

I managed to win an auction on gunbroker the other day and scored a Savage model 111 in 300 Win Mag. I'll be selling the barrel and stock soon, as I purchased it mainly for the action. My problem is that I'm having problems finding a stock for a long action with a DBM. Any ideas? I'll be turning this into either a tactical or a bench rest rig - caliber to be determined!

Having a long action makes the possibilities pretty much unlimited - I'd like to hear what some others have done with long actions and DBM's. I could use the ideas, especially on the stock options. Pictures would also be nice.

    Thanks....

Judging from your posted information I'm left with the opinion that you want plastic and tacticle stocks. Some months back I bought factory walnut stocks from Numrich inleted for the DBM Savage setup. Some modification was required but nothing too hard that few carving tools couldn't accomplish.
