    rebarrel a 110


    i have a savage 110 300 winchester mag that i want to rebarrel to a 223.can i do it or should i just by another rifle in 223

    It can be done but cost effectiveness might be just buying another rifle. Your long action will work with the shorter case but will be cumbersome too some degree with the long bolt throw. In addition too the barrel you'll have to change the bolt head along with misc parts. It will require another magazine for the smaller case also. Probably will cost neighborhood of two Franklins while new rifle can be had for little more dependant on location and dealers.
