Did you check the scope mount base before shooting? Just picked up the same rifle last week, could barely get it on paper. It was all over the place. Forgot a coin to adjust the scope, could not find anything to fit until I had about 3 rounds left to shoot, found a pmag cover in my range bag and could barely adjust the scope. When I got it home, found the front base really loose. 3 of 4 scews were loose the 4th was so tight I could not remove it for fear of stripping it. Loctite on the other 3 for now until I upgrade the scope. I really like it other than the poor mounting of the bases.
