Noob with a question

New to this forum and Savage Arms.

After a long hiatus from the firing line and loading bench I'm rekindling my interest! Today I'm picking up my Savage 110 Engage Hunter XP in .243 Win. It's primary use will be informal target shooting out to 300 yds. with a possible try at 500yds. and perhaps a chuck or two.

I know how to determine cartridge OAL but I'm wondering about the amount of free bore to start with. Any and all suggestions appreciated.
