Found a good use for the Picatinny rail that doesn't fit.

I bought a Nightforce rail, but it doesn't fit my flat back action. I dragged my feet on returning it, and it does fit the LRPV action I just bought. I want to put a magnum boltface on it and build a 264 Win Mag. I want to try the new(ish) Sierra 150gr Match Kings. It looks like an empty case will just barely make it out of that slot. I may have a gunsmith lengthen the port just a tiny bit. I do like that stainless single shot action. I saw a BR rifle built on one of these and Sharp Shooter Supply had polished it to a mirror finish. It looked pretty nice. In

I built an improved swede for the same bullet. Good luck on the build.

Another option is the 6.5 prc if you want a magnum. The brass should fit better in that action.

What velocity are you getting with the 6.5x55IMP? I thought about that...or a 6.5x47. I just really like the Win Mag. I also have a bunch of RWS 7mm Remington Magnum brass.

264 mag ought to work great. I don't have chrono, in this case capacity others have gone more than 3k.
