New to the Community and Savage Arms

Hey everyone it is a pleasure to be joining the community. I've joined hoping to tap into the knowledge of Savage owners to get the most out of my purchase I'll be making in the next week or two. My father is a retired cop, and we spent time together shooting pistols while I was growing up. I have decided on a Savage rifle due to the reputation of accuracy without dropping four figures. I look forward to hearing from you guys.
