Savage axis vs savage axis II barell

I recently bought Savage axis 6.5 Creedmoor 22 inch stainless barrel from Walmart. This does not have the accutrigger. I was wondering if the barrels are the same on these earlier guns as the ones on the newer models? thanks for you answers.

Yep! Why wouldn't they be? Same twist rate, same length and same contour.

Welcome to the site. The triggers a plenty heavy so you can do one of the common mods (do a search on here) or just replace it like I did with one from Rifle Basix.

They are shooters for sure. Mines a stainless with the plain trigger. I upgraded to a rifle basix and am very pleased.
