    6.5 Creedmoor Long Range

With the new long range ELD-M bullets and "Magic" powders the Creedmoor is truly phenomenal.

Good one. Truth is a round nose would work for the last 200,000 miles.

Yeah, but the .260 Rem left the mark on Saturn's smaller & more distant moon Iapetus 20 years ago. ;-)

Hey fellas, what powder are you using? I calculate the required speed to be a minimum of 36,701 fps to reach earth escape velocity.

Barrel and velocity don't matter. It's all about the H4350 powder.

And you have to lead it about 18 months.

What day was that? My ears are getting pretty bad but I think I heard a pretty decent gong. How long does it take for the sound to make it back?

I don't think it was this shot you heard. Sound requires an atmosphere or liquid to pass from one point to the other. In an absolute vacuum there is no mass for sound waves to travel.

Yeah but we are talkin bout a CREEDMOOR here. Physics doesn't always apply to them ya know? Like wouldn't you hear the shot as it passed through the atmosphere at first and then after waiting for it hear the sound as the echo came back?
