Move the barrel to a short action and use 6BR mags?
I have an older Savage 110 originally a 243. I re-barreled it into a 6 Dasher. I have used it for hunting and have shot a few Long Range F Class competitions. My son shoots PRS competitions and has persuaded me to shoot with him. I sent the rifle to the "Savage Gunsmith" in Victor Idaho and had him accurize it and put a bottom Savage bottom plate to take a magazine. Unfortunately it does not properly feed the rounds. If I put the round forward in the magazine it feeds but after shooting a couple round they are pushed back and will not feed. I have found several after market kits to resolve this but none for the Savage Mag. Can anyone help me with this.

Find someone to 3D print you a spacer for the mag and get a new follower. Short Action would likely work better, but many actions still have issues with the shorter cases feeding out of a magazine. You would be better off with an AICS pattern bottom metal as it would provide you a large host of magazine options to find what functions best.
If it's a stagger feed magazine it won't work, no matter what you do to it. A center feed 6 BR mag will work.

Sorry to hijack your post Plott. Hood and Fred, where do I get a 6BR mag? Thanks
You can try Savage themselves or
if you have a short action with a metal framed DBM
