    6.5 PRC barrels

Anyone making a barrel for savage rifles in this caliber? Considering changing the barrel on my 10T 308 to this caliber. Have never replaced a barrel so figured I would ask you pro’s.

You might have an easier time with the 6.5x284 for prefit barrel availability if you're looking for higher velocity. That or the 260AI in prefit barrel availability.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

McGowen carries it as a standard chambering. Go to Order Custom -> Custom Rifle Barrel and fill in the fields.

Good point. You can modify a long action mag bolt or go with a PTG so you won't need a new firing pin.

Still reading allot of information about this caliber. One thing that keeps coming up is its a barrel burner. I reload so could tone it down some. Was hoping someone here owned one and could comment on it.
