    Newly registered here,

but have read the forums on numerous occasions. Don't crucify me, but I have shot Rugers since 1980. But the fact that it is possible that I can change barrels on my own rifle has nagged at me for a while. I purchased a used Sav. 110 a few months ago with the intentions of getting a 284 Win barrel for it. However. I ran across a 6.5x284 Norma takeoff barrel for a decent price and bought it. So now, my plans are to swap it out with the 30/06 barrel.

It is my intention to possibly buy more Savages as I can. I enjoy shooting cartridges that few here around home shoot. I have never liked following the crowd...lol. I know that there are many knowledgeable shooters on this forum and look forward to learning from them.

Thanks, Gentlemen...will be back home in a day or 2 and have more time to explore the forum and hopefully be a productive member of the Savage Shooters Society!
