    Well,,,,,,, that sucks,,,,,

I'm afraid "I might have done did it", and it's not a good thing,,,,

Just put a new CBI barrel in a 223 12 FCV.

Eh,,,, What are the symptoms of a 'untrue/bent' action???

Perhaps a POI of about 3 ft to the right of POA @ 100,,,,

    Oh boy,,,,,,,,,,

Does the barrel look like it is closer to one side of the stock? If so turn the barrel action upside down in the stock and press tightly in the stock. Does the gap move to the other side? Have you looked in the stock to see if there is anything keeping the action from sitting correctly in the stock?

Can you look down the barrel and then look down the scope and the cross hairs be aiming at the same line vertically? Horizontally?

What method did you use to take it apart? Did you ever grab or grip it behind the front action screw when applying force? Take it back apart, Under good lighting look to see if there is any proud metal on the face of the action. With a very fine hone try to lay it flat on the action face and lightly smooth if required.

So what has happened? You're throwing in the towel? Have you identified the issue or what mistake was made?

Wait a moment before tossing in the towel. Strip the receiver and place on a flat surface(piece of glass works ok if you don’t have anything else) Roll it and see if things are catawampus.

With that much error, Yo might be able to see the misalignment. Rusty above gave a good suggestion.

Are your scope reticles mechanically centered? Bases and rings aligned correctly? Rings lapped?

Yesterday M10, Stevens 200 223 bbl rechambered to 22-250, Weaver T36 XR, Burris signature zee rings, Windage max right = 48 and bullets were still ~3" left. Home, changed 1 pc mount to 2 #46, rings apart, everything cleaned, and today zero W = 36, problem solved. Taking things apart and cleaning parts fixes ~half my mechanical problems.
