It was a 10FP with fluted barrel, sounds like the tan color stock is something special for Dick's. They do that for different suppliers.
So tonight I stopped by Dick's sporting goods and noticed a nice new savage rifle there. It's not some thing that I've ever seen in the catalog, the rifle didn't have a tag on it, and the kid behind the counter didn't know squat.
I couldn't tell about the barrel length but it was probably 22" to 20", it was fluted, had a detachable magazine, and the stock was a sandy tan color. It was a pretty nice rifle and I really liked it, but there wasn't any information to go along with it.
I also held a tr 22lr with the same color stock. It was marked at $450 and I thought that was a little high for a 22lr, but wow did that stock fit me like a glove.

This didn't have the full 24" barrel though and it was fluted. I was really impressed with it, except for the recoil pad acted like it would just come off like a pencil eraser.
Its actually a 10fcp-xp. It should have had the bolt release in the trigger guard as well. I had one from dicks but it had a black stock. The stock is junk but everything else is gtg. I think I paid like $569-589 for mine plus all the Dick's rewards points kickbacks.
The bolt release was on the side not on the trigger guard. I looked at that because I was curious about that too. The stock was pretty stiff but the recoil pad was bad.
