    Axis build

I have owned this axis for about 5 years now and it has seen alot of use. I had a Boyd's stock in it that I bedded the action and added steel pillars. It started life as a 270 win. Decided I wanted less recoil and a caliber that I don't have yet so I picked up a CBI 6mm creedmoor barrel for it. After that I figured why not try a chassis so I ordered a XLR Industry element chassis with their tactical lite buttstock. It shoots fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the end result.

One of the reasons I like the Savage, mix and match, upgrade as much or as little as you want.

    Nice rifle build.

Nice build. What did you need to do, if anything, to get rounds to feed?

Just insert a mag and go. Zero feeding issues.

Changed it up a little with some color. Had West Michigan Cerakote do the barreled action and controls. It turned out great.

I know it’s not a glades armory, it’s a factory bolt that’s been threaded. I have a glades armory bolt knob but it is too big and I didnt like it.
