20 MOA Base for Savage Stealth 6.5 Creedmoor

Could someone direct me to a 20 MOA base that will work with the Savage Stealth short action? Seems there is a different one for Stealth. There is lots of confusing info available on the net.

Should be any base that is compatible with a model 10 round back action.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

I have been reading that the screws or something may be different.

the stealth has 8-40 screws. I probably have some bases/screws in my gun room that would work. Can check if you want. Have a few stealth actions on hand that I can verify with as well..

I am assuming that this would be what I need to order. It shows a bolt option.

i just went through a whole debacle with this. whan you need is specific to the stealth (and also my 110 tactical). Screw spacing is the same but the receivers are tapped for oversize 8-40 screws.

    Warne makes one (M666-20-8)
So does EGW (You have to buy the HD steel one and have them drill it out for the proper screws)
    And badger.

be advised that if you simpply buy a rail that's made for the 6-46 screws and drill it out (like EGW does) then use 8-40 screws, the shoulder of the screws will be different and may not seat properly, this lead me to buying the Warne M666-20-8. The price was right too (They're about $111 compare to others that are $130+)

this will only work if you also purchase the extra $10 reaming for the 8-40 screws, however, read my post above about the shoulders being different.

The Stealth Evo 223 comes with a 20MOA base from factory. I took it off when new and it was labeled on the bottom. I can't remember the brand ..Seems like MDT or Drake?. But since it is Savage factory you should be able to just get the Evo base from savage.

Does anyone know whether the new Tactical 110 in 6.5 Creed has a 5R barrel or the regular groove barrel? The "old" 10T-SR available only at Cabela's has the 5R barrel and I may opt for the older one if the new Tactical has the regular barrel.
