Savage Super Sporter Mdl 45 Bolt assembly/Disassembly

Hi, New to the group. Recently acquired a Super Sporter Mdl 45. It hadn't been cleaned in a number of years and the action was quite stiff. Pulled the bolt out and carefully disassembled it. Problem is I can't figure out the proper sequence for reassembling. Could use a little wisdom from those that have the 'know'. Thanks.

With all of the Savage shooters on this site, not one person has a comment?

You may well have a great find, there. Unfortunately, I have never even seen one before, so I can't help you any. I am afraid the same is true for most everyone here. Be patient and bump yourself to the top every now and then, someone more knowledgeable will see it.

Things move a little slow here, sometimes, but someone will have an answer for you!

With some perseverance, I figured it out. I should make a YouTube video on it. Either way, reassembly, a good cleaning, and a vintage magazine recently acquired on Gunbroker.com, I now have a fully functional 1930's-ish Mdl 45 Savage Super Sporter with the Lyman peep sight, chambered in .30-30.

Glad you got it together! Same of those over-engineered old timers can often be a challenge. Trail and error is often the only solution!
Now we need pics and a range report!!

Glad you got it figured out. Unfortunately when it comes to those rarer old models there are very few people still around who are knowledgeable enough about them to offer advice/assistance. Most people have never seen one in person, much less worked on one.
