New rifle first day on the range.

Savage BSEV ,22lr, Mueller 8-25x50 scope mounted on Savage 2 piece rail. WOW! Sighted in with three rounds at 25 yards then went on to 50 yards. Tightest 50 yard groups were just under about an inch. I was shooting at one inch stick on targets. My buddy says,"Kinda showing off ain't you?"

After 200 + rounds we went to lunch. One guy walked past the shooting bench and said, "That's a good looking precision rifle." And a lady said, "That's a lovely competition rifle." Got several compliments on the rifle.

Now, I am over 70 something and have some physical issues. This rifle is my therapy. Love this gun.

I don't know how to post pictures or I would. I am pretty much computer illiterate. LOL.

Glad I found this site/group. Been a big help to me. Well. Someone has to go clean some guns.

BSEV: Usually we shoot with few others on the range. No ogling. The rifle does very well with CCI SV cartridges. The rifle is a "trip" has been reliable after many hundreds of rounds. The only glitch was when many rounds of the CCI cartridges has been fired. Extraction become inconsistent. This was a basic cleaning issue-nothing to do with the basic rifle. I'd buy another in an instant. Based on my experience complaints of accuracy do not hold water. Enjoy your rifle. Incidentally I'm only seventy-five.
