Bedding question: Rear Tang

I'm going to be pillar and glass bedding my 12FV into a Boyd's At-One.
I have bedded other actions before and am familiar with the process.
However, I have been hearing mixed opinions relating to the rear tang on a Savage action.
Some say the rear tang should be bedded and others say the tang should float.
What do you prefer and why?

Floated tang. It serves no purpose to bed the tang. Not sure it would hurt anything, but it’s more work for nothing in return. The savage receiver is such that the rear action screw is located forward of the trigger control group, whereas a Remington and similar are located to the rear.

I bedded my first one, including the tang, some years back. It did not shoot well. I took out the tang bedding material, and totally floated it, and that rifle, a Model 12 stainless in 0.308 Win, has shot 0.105" for 3 shots, 0.25" for 5 shots, and 0.6" for 10 shots. The stock is a Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist. The factory lightweight stock didn't do quite as well.
