11/111 Trophy Hunter, gap between stock and safety, normal?

    Gentleman,

Thank you for taking the time to read & help out. I have had this rifle for a year+, put 100 or so rounds, shoots good. There is a gap between the stock and safety that I had been turning a blind eye to , but got a couple of comments from friends at the range the past couple times I have been out, and now its bothering me. Its always been this way so I didnt think too much of it..would like your thoughts and opinions before I do anything else with it..

took it apart and put it back together, gap closed by about half...looks like something thats within a reasonable tolerance now

That's normal. The tang is supposed to be free floated.
