I've had this Savage 17 m2 for a few years now but I don't really know what model it is and that bugs me. It is a left handed bolt action, has a heavy barrel, checkered hardwood monte carlo styled stock, no provision for iron sights, and I can't for the life of me identify it. Serial number is 04709XX. I've pored over the Blue Book and all kinds of online sites but have yet to find one like it.
It shoot to an inch a fifty yards, cuz that's as far as I can see clearly, and it's a lot of fun to shoot. I bought it on a whim, just because it's left handed, as am I, and it is the only bolt gun I own.
