Savage 12fv and choate tactical stock part numbers

Anyone put a 12fv in a choate stock with part numbers 250601 or 250616? I ask because I am getting some confusing info from the e. Arthur brown (eabco) website about fitting and top bolt release and converting to a dbm with an adapter plate. Aka bottom metal or in this case bottom synthetic plate.
I did read the article about savage and their magazine changes over the years including top and bottom bolt release. Helped a bit. And the savage parts site is down...
    Thanks for the tips.

So to clarify... If a 250601 is purchased does it also need the plastic insert in the link below? Because the one in my link looks wrong per the picture included in the savage magazine tutorial here on this site.

    Thanks for the help!

I used the 25-06-01 stock with bottom metal and 10rd mag from my fcp-sr. I also had to pick up I think a front bolt for the hs precision stock from midway. I used the factory rear bolt. Hope this helps

I have seen the factory bottom metal and mags go on here and eBay for decent prices. Mine was factory metal not plastic by the way.

Metal is optimal but I am intrigued by the eabco part I just don't know about compatibility

I ordered mine from midway they had free s&h at the time. Plus are easier to deal with if you need to send it back.
