Anyone opened up the barrel profile on a stockade?

Wondering if the shell is on the barrel profile or if I can open it up to a heavy sporter ?

I'm also curious about this. I wonder how much material you could remove without affecting stock integrity.

I opened a Stockade Hunter for a CBI light varmint with no problem. When I switched to a LW sporter barrel, I taped the underside of the barrel and filled the barrel channel with bedding compound to rebuild and free-float the smaller contour barrel. Repainted the stock with Duracoat to seal.
