    New member with stock question

Hi everyone and thanks for adding me to your forum, I'm a Savage owner from across the pond.

I own a Model 10 FP-SR in .223, it's a police model with a 20" heavy screwcut barrel, I love this rifle but my only gripe is the lack of a detachable magazine.

So my question is a simple one can I buy a replacement Savage stock, after market stock or do I need to try and get a good gunsmith over here to retro fit a bottom plate (I think it's called that) and if so what make and model would fit my Acc stock?

    Many thanks

    Rob

UK, You have a top bolt release, center fed short action with a 4.4"(112 mm) screw spacing. If you can find a vendor that sells H-S precision stocks you might have something very sturdy. Then you have the need for the bottom metal and plate for your magazine. That could be an expensive proposition.
