    Question. Can i take a 223 barrel off axis gun and put a after market 224 valkyrie barrel on it ?

    QUESTION..... Can i take a 223 cal barrel off a AXIS GUN put on a after market 224 cal VALKYRIE barrel on this gun ? Would i need any other mods to shoot gun if i can JUST SWITCH out barrels ? Will magazines that fit 223 will fit the 224 cal ? also who would you recommend making a 224 Valkyrie barrel for the savage AXIS RIFLE ? Thanks. Marty

    You can, but you'll need a new bolt head as well. The 224 Valkyrie is based off the 6.8SPC case which has a slightly larger case head.
