    Non slip grip for stock

Hey guys.....I recently put a new Boyds stock on my 6.5cm axis that I hunt with. I've never noticed it on my others but this one is really slick....not the glossy one either. It's even more slick with gloves on. I was wanting to know if anyone had any suggestions for a grippy material for the forearm...especially. I'd prefer something clear as to not cover up the color of my stock but if I cant make that happen...oh well.
    Thanks!

Grip tape in key areas you can cut to fit or I've seen guys add Marinetex and stipple it with a sponge etc.

Send it back and have them do their laser stipple or checkering on it.

Talon tape is used on pistol grips. It's self adhesive. (Below is the link to Midway).

Amazon sells clear non slip tape in 60 foot rolls in one, two, three, and four inch widths at prices from sixteen bucks to around forty-five bucks.

I've never used it on a stock, but i have used it on a yacht. It's not quite invisible, but close to it and it really does work.

Go to Amazon and search for

I've used something similar to the clear grip tape Mozella mentioned on a few painted stocks. It is grippy, but not so aggressive that it will chew up my face if I use it as a contact surface on the comb of the gun. It allows the camouflage to show through, though it is slightly obscured.

The stuff I used was sold as "3M Safety-Walk Tub and Shower Tread". I'll get a picture as soon as I am able.
