    Stock clear-coat problem

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I need some suggestions.

I bought a Duramax is Mossy Oak Brush camo that I sprayed with Krylon Clear. There is a real stick feel right where my cheak sits. How can I remedy this? The rest of the stock isn't that bad, but it is slightly "tacky".

    Car wax....no kidding.

This is a problem...especially if you have any scruff (1/2/3 day whisker growth) or if you are clean shaven.

I ran into the same feel with Automotive Clear coat. Not sticky but your face won't slide on the surface. Try some "baby powder". Makes a big difference.
Oz never gave nothing to the Tin Man, that he didn't already have.

Interesting! Just to be clear, we're talking about the paste type car wax. Rub on, let dry and buff?

Meguiar's Carnuba is my preference. Same stuff I use as a release agent when bedding a rifle.
