I remember, a while back reading or seeing somewhere on the internet, about an aluminum plug to replace the magazine that would convert a MK II with a 5 shot magazine to a single shot. The reasoning behind this is with our youth shooting program it eliminates the distractions and breaking the concentration of the youth during competition and qualification. I recall that this is an aftermarket item and not made by Savage
