BA 10 Stealth Hornady Factory Ammo

I've seen factory 6.5 Creedmoore ELD Match ammo in 120gr, 140gr, and 147gr. Any experience with those in the BA 10 Stealth?

Yes. I purchased and fired several hundred rounds of 120g match, 140g match and 120g full boar GMX in order to build up brass for precision reloads.

I was able to get consistent 1.5moa at 100yds from the 120’s. I’ve shot the 140g match ammo and seen good groups 1 moa or better. However I’ve got better equipment on the rifle now.

I have had great experience with Prime ammo. I’ve used 100 rounds of their 130g match and shot very accurately out to 1200yds. I was hitting steel in a 6” group at 1200 with a good spotter helping me. I would highly recommend their product.

    Good luck.

140 ELD Match and 143 ELD X shoot great through my Stealth - 200 yard groups between .4-.5 MOA. I've grouped the 140g's at 400 yards on paper and they were .47 MOA. All 5 shot groups. Haven't shot the 147's yet, and have only shot 130 Prime's in the lighter bullets. For what it's worth, Prime shoots like crap through my gun compared to the Hornady. I've stretched the factory 140 ELD Match to 1,550 yards with acceptable results given it's factory ammo. SD's in the high teens and best I've seen has been 9. The 140g ELD Match has been my go to.

I cannot seem to get ANYTHING to shoot through my 10BA Stealth.

I've fired Winchester, Federal and Hornady (130's, 140's, 143's and 147's) through my gun and cannot for the life of me get it to shoot anything better than 1 moa at 100 yards. So, I bought a Lee press and Hornady match-grade dies and set out to load ammo for it using the Hornady 140gr ELD-M. No go. Can't seem to get it to shoot well enough to determine the correct powder load.

Today, I called Savage to get the torque settings for the action screws and scope base. When I get home tomorrow, I will check the torque. If that checks out, I'm at a loss.

As for me, the shooter, I am not new to competitive shooting at all. As a matter of fact, I fired a 199-11x at 6000 yards last fall with my Remington 700 in 308. That was utilizing a sling.

Any suggestions? There is a match the 24th and 25th in which I plan to compete.

    Thanks,
    Dave

I have the 10 BA Stealth in 6.5 Creedmoore. I called and they told my 40 for the torque on the action screws.

Have you got a different scope to change out to in order to verify it is not the problem?? Made sure mount and screws are tight? I'm sure you have probably checked those variables already, but thought I would throw them out there. Good luck.
