Welcome aboard
Hello, I'm from western Ky. I started buying Remingtons in 1976. Between 700's and 788's I owned 11 centerfires and 2 rimfires at one time. About 11 years ago I started paying attention to Savage rifles. Today I have only the 2 rimfires Remingtons left. Now my safe also has 2 rimfire Savages & 8 centerfire Savages from .204 to 375 H&H with several extra barrels to play with. I am a diesel mechanic by trade and have a bad case of tinkeridas. I love switching barrels and working up new reloads for the new gun. At nearly 62 I am looking forward to retiring in about 3 yrs. and spending all my time fishing, shooting, hunting and playing guitar. I might also spend some time with the Bride as well. I appreciate all the info available on this site. Thanks.

Howdy do? And welcome.
I had a .222 Rem ADL that was my first centerfire rifle and I kick myself still for selling that. At 100 yards I could cover the groups I could get with a dime.
Also had a 788 in .308 Win and again, fool that I was (am?), I traded it off. That was a great shooter as well. Now that my area of NY opened regular deer & bear season to rifles I went looking for the equivalent of that 788 and same up with the Savage M11.
