This Looks Like the Place ...

...I was looking for. Hello to you all, my name is DanO and this looks like the forum I can learn more about my new Savage. I picked up a new Axis II 223 with a 22" heavy barrel, target crown, Accu-Trigger and digital camo. I have been shooting guns most of my life but mostly handguns the past 15 years. I have a couple of ARs in 9mm and .223. I recently got the 223 and have been shooting it for about a year and found myself getting in to rifle shooting more and more. After shooting a friends Savage I had to have one and lucked out with a good deal. I also reload and plan on checking out some of that information so I can load for my new Savage . I've been retired for 10 years but with a new rifle I have some "work" to do now picking up some good information. I know I can learn a lot here and much prefer to get my info from the people that know it best. I want to look around the forum at all the info amassed before get too active in the threads. I look forward to finding some good company here as I get to know all you more. Thanks for having me.

    Welcome.

I have a single-shot rifle in .223 Rem and have long felt that put me in the minority. But it is a great cartridge for varmints to coyotes and has a lot of reloading potential. One at a time is also easy on the wallet and the brass lasts forever. ;-)
