110 LA - Choate Tactical Stock

Hi Folks,

I originally posted this in the "Aftermarket Stocks" section, but got no replies. I was hoping that if I moved it, maybe I'd get a response.

I have a Savage 30-06, LA, RH, 110 rifle, with detachable box magazine. According to the serial number, the rifle was built between 1989 and 1994...if I understood the FAQ section correctly.

I would like to install a varmint contour barrel, and a Choate Tactical stock to this rifle, which leads me to my question...

Will I be able to use the components of the DBM, and use them as an internal box magazine? Understanding that I will no longer have an external box magazine.

Looking at the mechanics of the mag, I believe that this is doable, with perhaps some minor Dremeling to the stock's aluminum block.
Unless there is something I'm overlooking.

Has anyone tried this already?
