    Choate stock info

So I got the 12fv bug like everyone else and now I'm looking into two different choate stocks. I'm looking at the choate varmint stock and the untimate sniper stock. I like the forend of the varmint stock a lot Better for looks. The real question does one function better off the bipod or bags better than the other. I will be shooting only from the bench or prone. I don't plan to do any hunting just range work with this rifle.

Thanks I think I'm set on getting the varmint at this point I'll be picking up the stock once I sell my heavy barrel 243 axis. I also plan on doing a specific thread on the rifle after the first range session.

I'll do my best I'm going to be trying some Peterson 308 brass with small primer pockets. This is my first time reloading that I went all out and didn't try to go cheap on any of the components I hope I can do the rifle justice.

Here is a pic of my current reloading setup I have a one year-old so my setup is completely portable. I'm using a cheap lee c frame press. (Honestly it's the cheapest you can buy) but it puts out very concentric ammo within .001 usually. For this build i got the Peterson brass, hornady custom grade dies, varget for the powder and I got some 155gr and 175gr vld style bullets.

Did you add the top to a cart or did it come with that top? This setup looks fantastic!

The cart was bought at harbor freight and instead of installing the top shelf as it should be in flipped it upside-down so it's flat on top, then I bought a shelf top from home Depot and bolted all four corners down with 3/8th bolts. It's a solid set up no flex at all. I did have to add 2 20lb weights to the other end of the cart as counter weight. But it rolls great and does not take up much space

I like it I do believe that stock looks a lot better than the other one I mentioned. Now once I get the funds it will be ordered.

Those look like the weaver picatinny tactical rings, How do you like them? I bought a set, but there was no information for torque spec. I know Vortex calls for 15-18 inch lbs, but what torque did you use for the cross bolt nuts? Nice set up!!

To be honest, I'm not much of a fan of most rings since I saw these: https://www.americanrifle.com/product/m10-scope-rings/

However, these rings do their job and hold the scope very well. I've never used a torque wrench to tighten rings, went more on feel. My rings aren't overly tight, nor are they loose either if that makes sense.

Thanks guys!! That is a solid shooter!!

The grip is probably a medium size grip for me. Anyone with medium or large size hands will work for this stock.
