    Savage 300 WSM bolt head

I have a 300 wsm model 16 (Stainless Steel) that is a switch barrel gun, switching from 300 wsm to 270 wsm. I have had a couple primer failures which has etched my bolt face and I would like to get a new bolt head. The problem is mine is a push feed not control feed. All the heads I see on midway are control with the standing ejectors. Can anybody tell me what head I need (part#) and where to get it. Thank you for you help.

You may have to buy one that is used if it comes to replacement.

Stop doing or correct the issue with primer failures. (wrong primer, wrong profile on firing pin, wrong headspace, too large of a firing pin hole?)

    How bad is it cut?

You can have it skimmed to repair.

The holes will not effect performance unless the gas cut into the primer hole.

You could have it bushed in that case

Join accurateshooter forum and get a hold of Grimstod.

He should be able to fix your bolt and bush the firing pin at the same time. I assume he will not guarantee being able to fix it until he can inspect it. But more than likely he'll hook you up. He has good reputation for bushing Savage bolts
