    New from Redstick Louisiana!

    Howdy y'all. I've owned a Savage 111 FCNS in .30-06 before. I wished I had kept it.

I'm looking into a new rifle in .300 Win Mag. It seems most come with a detachable box. How hard would it be to convert to a hinged floor plate?

I have not seen a hinged floor plate on a savage for a very long time... What you'll find more commonly now is, the blind mag. Still top feeds but you can't just drop the floor plate out to unload it. You have to cycle them out.

Maybe someone else will have a better idea or know where to get the parts you may need for the Hinged floor plate.

    I'm curious as well now,

    Welcome!
If you’re wanting a 300WM with a hinged floorplate, check out the Savage Bear Hunter.
