Have a savage model 12 long range precision in 6.5 creedmoor. Can I build a 7mm saum on this action?

Yes. Just a barrel and a bolt head. You may need a wsm mag as well

Savage used a large shank for the WSM for a reason. Rumor has it that Short Action Magnums can expand a smaller a chamber with a small outside diameter barrel. This can lead to difficult extraction. Not saying it will happen but it can. Best bet is to go with a large diameter threaded action or convert yours. The sky is not falling however.

Converting my action mean machining/drilling mine and re-threading the action to the larger thread size? Sorry new at this.
