12 LRP 6.5CM, Hornady 140 BTHP and the Hornady OAL gauge, are my readings right?

Finally got some time to really do some serious measurements on this combination.

Prior to this just been loading the 140's to 2.800

After a few 1000 times i'm getting 2.287 on the Hornady oal and 2.880 COAL...

Just wondering what yall are getting on a 12LRP and this bullet, seems its a tad longish.

Watched numerous online vids to make sure I was doing the setup and measuring right...

    Thanks, Red

After that choosing the jump and fine tuning it is one of the best ways. You can then use that dummy round and your Hornady Gauge to document and then inspect your loaded rounds.

Touching the lands at 2.880" is pretty good in my opinion.

Giving the bullet a 0.020" jump will keep the bullet's bearing surface and boat tail junction above the neck and shoulder junction of the brass. And more room for powder !

will a stripped savage bolt with no case in the action drop from gravity?

Good question, just tried it and fortunately, I was over carpet

Kept my toes out of the way, too
Banning a gun will not solve what is a mental health crisis inflamed by incendiary rhetoric on social and television media. The first amendment in this case is less precious and more likely the causal factor than the second amendment.
