Well, I had my first Savage rifle back in the late 70's. Needless to say it was nothing I was looking for! Flash forward and last night I ordered a 12FV, (6.5 Creed) from Cabela's at a great price. All day I have immersed myself into everything Savage. If the rifle doesn't shoot I'll just replace the barrel myself!! Never thought I would be able to say that!! Don't like the bolt handle, I can replace that myself. You long time Savage shooters are probably amused with me but, I feel like a kid in a candy store!
