I ordered a new scope from Optics Planet. It is a Hawke Vantage SF 3-12X44 1/2 Mil Dot. It was on sale and had a $20.00 Labor Day savings coupon plus free shipping. It was $184.00 shipped to my door. It replaces a Swift Premier 6-18X44 which was too powerful for close range hunting. I'll also be shooting targets at 100 yards and less.
Congratulations. What caliber are you shooting? I seen you are in Central Michigan. If anywhere near Midland, consider joining. We have ranges at 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, and 600. Plus lots of pistol things like Steel targets, and shotgun.

Geez.... How do you hold that thing steady at the higher magnifications ? When I go above 7 on my 30/30 everything starts jumping around.
Carefully I hope....Good steady hold, controlled breathing, and proper trigger squeeze....Make us proud...
